Welcome to fadedfarm, the place for homemade living and general awesome-ness.

That’s right, awesome-ness.  It is a thing.

A while back, I was looking for the perfect blog for me.  For someone who stands in the middle between the homesteaders/survivalists living off the grid (I call them the hardcore homesteaders) and the hipster “homesteaders” who buy the trendy $900 chicken condos.

I was searching for a place for people who DIY and make as a matter of course.  Whether it is to save money, reuse what you already have or because you take pride in homemade.

So I decided to start my own blog.

It is my hope that this blog will be resource for people who are looking for simpler, more grounded life, without all of the hype.
