I saw this book floating around the interwebs last year, but since my book wish list is about 200-ish deep I forgot all about it until I was in Barnes and Noble a few weeks ago, begging me to pick it up off the book shelf.
And it does not disappoint.
Julia Rothman is a city girl that falls in love with a farm boy. Every time they went to the family farm in Iowa, they brought back a little piece of the farm with them from rhubarb to scrap wood.
Julia beautifully illustrates everything from heavy duty farm equipment,
To edible flowers,
With a some animal breeds pepper through out.
If you have not picked up Farm Anatomy yet, the beautiful illustrations make it worth the price. While I was paging through it, I thought of a city boy that I know. I may have to get him a copy.
PS Sorry my pictures are a little blurry!
